Fan motors power the fan of an automobile's radiator. This fan is extremely important to the cooling of the car's engine. It is necessary for keeping a strong air flow when the car is still or moving slowly. It also counteracts the heat created when the air conditioner is in use. Therefore, it is necessary that you keep the motor in working order to keep the engine from overheating. This may require a new motor altogether if your old one malfunctions.
